Important Information for the Consumer - New FDA regulations have determined that cosmetics and self tanning products containing SPF ratings will be now be considered OTC drugs, and will require levels of UV protection that can not be achieved with natural filters such as titanium oxide and zinc oxide, which are currently used in Sunshine Botanicals Total Eclipse. In order to meet the requirements of these new regulations, it would force us to reformulate our product using synthetic, chemical based filters. Because of our unwavering dedication to formulate pure, holistic skin care products, we have chosen to label this product as a moisturizer with natural UV protectants, rather than a “sunscreen” that would require a UV rating. It is important to note that chemical sunscreens cannot provide the broad spectrum protection necessary to prevent deeper environmental damage...
